The Supervisor, Sales Operations will supervise sales operations employees focused on territory alignments, order credit values, and sales performance reporting. Responsibilities range from supervising staff to deliver results, upholding a positive work environment, leading the function’s monthly financial close process, supporting BI and IT project implementations, and driving process improvements. This supervisor must ensure compliance with G.A.A.P. standards and uphold established policies and procedures.

Team Development

  • Supervise team of coordinators and analysts responsible for sales reporting.
  • Forecast staffing needs to meet business demands and staffs team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being managed; resolves personnel issues.

Financial Accounting

  • Participate in monthly and yearly closing process by completing journal entries & month end reporting in a timely manner while compliance with GAAP & established policies and procedures.
  • Interact with sales management to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and approvals.

Orders Reporting, Quota, & Territory Management

  • Ensure sales support reporting, including sales order credit, quotas, territories, and account alignments are performed timely and accurately by team.
  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced Quota setting and reporting.
  • Provide reporting and analysis to upper level sales and accounting management.

System Maintenance & BI Tool Implementation

  • Participate in the design, testing and implementation of new software systems and ensures staff proficiency and training in new systems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all operating systems and BI platforms pertaining to the function.

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in the development, modification and adjustment of procedures, policies, processes and technologies with the Sales Operations function, specifically reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new reports, processes and policies.

Perform other duties as assigned by manager/director.

What you need       

  • B.A. or B.S. in business or related curriculum.
  • 4-6 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent and proven time management skills with ability to use independent judgment effectively.
  • Proficient on Microsoft applications especially Access and Excel.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, including Tableau or Power BI.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
