What you will do

As a Staff, Electrical Engineer you will work on researching new electrical and electronic technologies and perform early evaluations for use within robotic systems, create and document designs for printed circuit board, cables, and electrical subsystems and Create and document designs for printed circuit board, cables, and electrical subsystems and support existing field products, support the continuous improvement of Stryker robotics product and lead design team to execute project goals.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Plan, document and conduct electrical reviews and tests.
  • Debug electrical circuit problems and implement corrective action.  Document and release the corrective action. 
  • Investigates field or development problems to root cause and propose resolutions.
  • Adequately use development tools, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and soldering stations.
  • Work towards delivery of project goals for schedule, cost, and technical performance.
  • Lead development teams of up to 3 people.
  • Communicate schedules as determined by project leaders.
  • Clearly communicate status of assignments, coordinate tasks.

What you need

  • 5+ years of experience on electrical engineering
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and how to apply them to product design and development for robotic platforms and accessories
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital mixed circuit design
  • Experience working with embedded systems (electronics and firmware within a electro-mechanical chassis).
  • Experience working in Medical Device Quality System or other regulated industry  is highly preferred
  • Experience working with industry regulations and authoring test plans for EMI and environmental testing.
  • Experience with programming test tools (such as Labview or Matlab).
  • Experience with schematic entry and PCB layout software tools.
  • Experience using Altium or Orcad/Allegro design tools a plus.
