We are currently seeking a Software System Test Manager located in Davie, Florida

  • What you will do:
  • The Software System Test Manager is responsible for managing a team of Software System Test Engineers that drive to deliver the highest quality products through defect prevention throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • This position will provide input into the quality processes with the goal of continually improving the effectiveness and efficiency of testing within the Software System Test team.
  • Will ensure all quality assurance and testing activities are conducted throughout the software life cycle and that the results are documented per the Quality Management System.
  • Drive the verification including the definition of test strategies, development of test cases, execution of tests, data collection and documentation.
  • Work with Project Leads to ensure the project schedule is realistic, hold the Project Lead and team accountable.
  • Advise on test strategy development, verification plans, and verification reports across multidisciplinary systems.
  • Support the team on investigations of issues
  • Oversee the development and operation of engineering verification lab.
  • Manage Team budget and monitor spending.
  • Manage resources and tasks to ensure timely and effective project completion according to the project plan.
  • Coordinate with program management team members on establishing project scope, workload, priorities, and schedule.
  • Drive the growth of the team through the recruitment of top performing talents and personal development and mentoring of team members.
  • Develop and improve tools and processes to continuously enhance the quality of Stryker’s product line and efficiency in product development.
  • Enforce the thorough application of Stryker’s Quality Management System.
  • Convey status to management and team members on a frequent basis.
  • Articulate issues and make recommendations to the Program Managers and other senior management team members as appropriate.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with automation testing is desired  
  • Software testing experience
  • 3+ years management experience in goal setting, coaching and mentoring.
  • Prior experience with C or C++ product development is desired
  • Prior experience with Software/Hardware System products is preferred
  • Prior experience with Systems Engineering is preferred
  • Strong aptitude and interest in system and software testing is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in the following: software testing methods, test plan and test case development, software risk analysis and software development practices for regulated products is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory standards and quality processes is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, organizational problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be able and flexible to work well under changing priorities in high energy and demanding environment.
