Through superior leadership, establish the Mahwah Operations vision and strategy, and drive the execution to achieve top level manufacturing and supply chain performance while ensuring the adherence to our quality and compliance systems.

  • Work closely with other senior executives to coordinate and improve overall Operations performance.
  • Implement and ensure compliance to all aspects of our quality system.
  • Provide leadership for entire Mahwah Operations team.
  • Ensure that critical information, trends, strategies, and results are communicated to the VP, North American & Ireland Implant Operations.
  • Deliver results with a commitment to excellence and a dissatisfaction with the status quo.
  • Assure goals and objectives are met.
  • Assure the development of targeted short and long-term programs to maximize inventory control, product gross margins, and customer service, and to  improve demand planning as a basis for competitive advantage and profitability.
  • Demonstrate commitment to building A+ teams by seeking "best in class" talent, engaging talent around challenging business issues, and driving for developmental experiences that will develop the next generation of leaders for both the Orthopaedics business and for Stryker Corporation.
  • Ensure all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations and laws governing the business operations.
  • Identify present and future needs, trends and opportunities; assure plans are developed, communicated and implemented to capitalize on profitability and competitive advantages.
  • Engage and develop a world-class leadership team within each area of control, ensuring that the organizational structure, talent and resources are aligned with key business imperatives and that  worldclass service is provided to internal/external customers.
  • Drive cost reduction measures and Lean Manufacturing Processes.


  • BS degree in Operation Management, Engineering related field; Prefer MS/MBA
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience in manufacturing operations; prefer experience in medical device environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high levels of engagement throughout a plant environment (Cell Team Members, Project Leaders, Cell Team Leaders, and Directors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a superior leadership team and bench.
  • Demonstrated world-class skills in manufacturing and supply chain management, including the development and implementation of strategic change, restructuring, P&L responsibility, JIT/Lean manufacturing, and quality management expertise.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain key internal and external professional relationships.
  • Possesses vision and focus on business direction
  • Ability to generate results, enthusiasm, high levels of trust, commitment, and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to quickly gain the respect and support of own staff and fellow leaders.
  • Ability to build customer relationships with Stryker international affiliates at distribution divisions in order to facilitate strong forecasting, product launch planning, and execution, and to ensure effective customer problem resolution for the Mahwah Plant.
