What you will do

The Quality Systems Training Specialist works with managers and process owners to ensure that employees receive appropriate and required assignments in accordance with quality system regulations. This includes the on-going establishment and evaluation of curricula and user groups in our learning management system (LMS) and on-boarding plans as appropriate. Responsibilities may include:

  • Work with managers, process owners, subject matter experts in the needs assessment, course design, coordination, implementation and evaluation processes for training
  • Respond with a high level of customer service to training questions and requests
  • Own and manage the training process in accordance with the Quality System including the ongoing continuous improvement of the process to achieve efficiencies and changes necessary to support the business as other organizational changes occur
  • Act as a contact for training-related questions and requests during audits, both internal and external
  • Responsible for ongoing analysis, tracking and reporting of training effectiveness and timeliness which may include additional ad hoc tracking and reporting requirements
  • Cooperate with the Corporate LMS Shared Services team in the maintenance and administration of the LMS
  • Provide assistance to training developers on the use of multimedia technology and tools in compliance with Stryker’s communication styles and standards
  • Support and assist any projects that impact or relate to the training process
  • Collaborate with other training specialists as necessary for the continuous improvement or ad-hoc support of the training process

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree; Focus in organizational development, human resources development, education or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years relevant training experience including needs assessment, curriculum development, course design, LMS administration, training evaluation and adult education preferred
  • Ability to influence management, business groups, and subject matter experts toward a recommended action
  • Understanding of a notified body/government regulated training environment preferred
  • Must possess high level knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Experience with learning management programs preferred
