Commercial department mission

Facilitate commercial growth in the Netherlands by supporting the eight divisions in their daily commercial activities, maintaining the commercial overview, enabling cross divisional deals plus coordinate Key Account management. Being a professional Stryker team responsible for: commercial management, key account management, contract & tender management, pricing policy & execution plus marketing & branding of Stryker in the Netherlands.

The job´s mission

The Pricing Specialist Benelux has a key role in the commercial department with regards to Pricing and Business Analysis for the Benelux.

In close collaboration with the Commercial Services Manager for the Netherlands and for Belgium, you are responsible for the overall coordination of the Benelux pricing policy and for the Netherlands overall business analysis. The tasks entail the daily coordination of all prices for the divisions in the Netherlands and Belgium and running of the corresponding systems. Additionally, you will be responsible to facilitate each year the implementation of the strategic price increases for the Sales divisions. Further tasks include the pricing and product integration whenever Stryker has acquired a new business and prices need to be integrated.

With respect to business analysis, the Pricing specialist Benelux executes analyses and provides overview of the Stryker business in the Netherlands, the hospitals, Stryker competitors and Healthcare market trends in the Netherlands.

Your key responsibilities  


  • Responsible for the overall coordination of pricing policy Benelux
  • Determines prices and pricing strategies for all divisions in the Benelux
  • Maintains accurate records and updates pricing in Oracle invoice system, in Quote system and discounts in Oracle invoice system
  • Communicates with hospitals and provides master data pricing sets.
  • Produces customer-specific-pricelists at start of new contracts and for external pricing platforms such as Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX)
  • Resolves issues with pricing, contracts and commercial operations
  • Coaches and supports the Sales Managers and salesforce with Pricing Strategy, account plans, contract matters and offers
  • Supports at the discount policy
  • For Belgium: introduces FOD pricing as well as reimbursement files within the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (NIHDI)

Annual Pricing projects

  • Facilitates and supports the annual Divisional price increase, including margin calculations, defining price strategy, new price settings, master data development and strong collaboration with the Commercial Services Manager.
  • Supports and enables the integration of newly acquired companies into Stryker and defining, aligning and entering new prices into Oracle.

Business analysis

  • Responsible for the annual update of the Stryker market potential in the Netherlands for all divisions, distribution and discussion with Sales Managers
  • Updates the Dutch Stryker market potential into the Stryker Netherlands Opportunity Tracker
  • Regularly provides all sorts of market overviews and hospital overviews to the Sales organization, the Commercial Directors and Commercial Services Managers

What are we looking for

  • HBO degree in economics, finance or similar
  • At least one year working experience in a pricing or business analysis type of role
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel as well as very good knowledge of Oracle Software and Power BI
  • You absolutely love numbers and thrive in analysis and reporting at the same you enjoy interacting with people and describe yourself as a people-person!
  • You are characterized by high attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills as well as by your curious nature.
  • Native Dutch speaker, professional level of English, French is a plus
  • Most importantly: you are driven to work in the healthcare industry!
