What you will do-

The roles purpose is to be accountable for the overall supply plan quality signal within the specific plant. The role is also responsible for measuring the performance of the execution of the supply plan in meeting the demand, inventory, and financial requirements. The role will interface with production site lead, production line leads, engineering leads, financial site lead, customer service lead and IBP to ensure that a high-quality integrated supply plan for the scope defined with the franchise is provided. This role has a people management accountability for supply planners and supply analyst roles within an individual site.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Ensure full alignment with DOL and partners in manufacturing, finance, sourcing, quality, IBP, commercial, logistics, and AO to achieve divisional goals
  • Support CTG commitments and project pipeline (e.g., NPI/PLCM Execution)
  • Drive culture of fiscal responsibility by gaining consensus and alignment between Financial projections process and Supply Planning process
  • Deploy and monitor the performance of the core supply processes within the plant such as Master resource planning, Capacity Planning, Demand and Supply execution and Safety stocks
  • Support existing and new initiatives from IBP to improve the overall cycle and drive improved service and cost reduction
  • Deploy Executive Supply Review (ESR) meeting for the franchise to drive decision making and improved product availability and network capacity
  • Evolve and improve Demand and Supply Execution meeting through partnership with commercial to drive a more balanced discussion
  • Own tactical planning responsibilities on assigned production cells to deliver inventory, financial, and cash goals that’s outlined for the business
  • Deliver customer service by driving product availability through successful anticipation and escalation of supply interruptions in ESR and other forums
  • Partner with manufacturing and sourcing to drive and sustain Supply Plan Mix Attainment performances
  • Drive overall reduction of Inventory – RM, WIP, FGs where it doesn’t conflict with op income targets
  • Support Product Life Cycle Management and Merger &Acquisition integration
  • Assist in development and deployment of capabilities
    • FGS Safety Stock Management
    • RM safety stock tool
    • Capacity Planning capability- standardizes, smoother, and iterate more easily/faster
    • Inventory/E&O projection Capability
  • Gain financial alignment and deliver reporting
    • Standardized approach to financials
    • Develop and distribute JR weekly metrics for JROLT and tier 2 leadership
  • Drive a leaner and more talented organization
    • Raising the bar on team- challenging status quo and pushing team to grow
    • Active performance management of underperformers and development of future leaders
    • Talents identified and made available to actively participate in the definition, designing and deployment of capabilities or other programs
  • Continue to support JR franchise and less plant centric through standardization and cross training

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields required
  • 6+ years of experience in Production Planning/Supply Chain Planning roles highly preferred
  • APICS or CSCP certified preferred
  • Demonstrated track record in management level role leading and delivering results
  • Production line or engineering practical experience ideal
  • Demonstrated experience with trending and analysis reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in running projects specifically around problem solving and root causing based on lean way of working
  • Demonstrated knowledge of S&OP and/or IBP processes and the role of supply planning with the overall process
  • Capable of being able to start setting direction with input from leadership
  • Ability to influence at plant and production cell levels
