Stryker’s Neurovascular Division, a rapidly growing business that is advancing the practice of less invasive therapies through innovative ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke products and services, is seeking a Plant Leader who gets excited about engaging teams, managing change and creating successful growth strategies.  In this highly visible, stand-alone role you will lead a large (approx. 1000 employees) Manufacturing Plant in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Ensure that there is an appropriate manufacturing strategy that aligns with the Division’s current and future business needs and is in line with  our Global Quality and Operations Strategy
  • Ensure local site goals are aligned with Division goals and are being achieved.  Deliver on all Quality, Service, TTM, Cost and Safety goals
  • Ownership of all budgeting and projection processes for the area and ensuring our financial commitments are met
  • Ensure a culture and work environment that fosters high levels of trust, inclusiveness, commitment, high performance and accountability; ensure a high level of people engagement and talent development
  • Ensure that appropriate talent management strategies are in place and executed locally to ensure recruitment, development and retention of top talent and appropriate levels of succession planning and leadership bench strength are developed
  • Continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence and engineering projects and initiatives are being appropriately resourced and implemented
  • As the local site leader, contributing as a key member of Stryker Ireland Leadership team; coordinate the site functional processes – working in partnership with Site and other Ireland functional and Plant Leaders to ensure appropriate support, processes and alignment at a local level – this will include establishing a cross functional management support team


Experience and qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Business discipline is required.
  • Strong Operational leadership experience and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a regulated industry.•Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing excellence and experience in successful implementation of significant change management initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of creating a high trust, high performance and engaging work environment.
  • Excellence in building collaborative and trusting relationships
  • Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills.
