Job Description: Responsible for editing and proofreading marketing materials for a wide spectrum of commercial and promotional needs, to ensure projects are adhering to brand, quality and regulatory requirements.

  • Proofread, edit and occasional write creative and technical copy for a variety of target audiences in multiple forms of media (primarily print, digital ads, tradeshows & signage, websites, video, and general communications)

  • Partner with Communications team to ensure alignment with divisional messaging

  • Partner with internal customers to understand the objective of the project specs and the clients’ needs

  • Collaborates with Regulatory and Legal departments to ensure adherence to FDA standards. 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of medical industry, and regulatory & quality standards

  • Follow and adhere to brand identity and voice guidelines

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders through project intake and beyond

  • Adheres to review & approval processes as stated in corporate & divisional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Work collaboratively and influence without authority with internal and external partners on the envisioning and developing of various creative projects, in adherence to brand standards and aligned to business goals

  • Work in and adhere to creative workflow and processes

  • Manages multiple projects on time, often under tight deliverable deadlines

  • Grows highly collaborative relationships, and is a proactive team player

  • Manages outsourced work with agency partners as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Journalism, Communications, English or related field.  Creative agency or similar experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience as an editor, proofreader, preferably in healthcare, medical device or other highly regulated industry
  • Understanding of production, pre-press, print and web-based technologies 
  • Demonstrated project management skills and track record of successful execution
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Passion for quality, and obsessed with proofing
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to business processes, with an eye for iteration and process improvement
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills
  • Experience with project management/collaborative workflow software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Professional and positive approach, solution-oriented, self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task and execute flawlessly and consistently in a fast paced environment with competing demands
