The Business Solution Specialist works to improve the organization’s market position, support growth and promote/communicate Surgical value proposition; he/she reports to the Sales Director, Surgical - Southern EU. The Business Solution Specialist contributes to define long-term organizational strategic goals, support the Sales Director, PM, RSM, SDS and Sales Reps in building key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. It is key element of this job to collaborate closely with the whole Surgical sales and marketing organization and other internal functions to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization.

What you will do

New Business Development and Client Retention

  • Develop and keep up to date market analysis, with special focus to new business creation
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Meet potential clients to present how Stryker value proposition can meet and satisfy Customer’s need and development.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.  
  • Support the presentation of new products and opportunities to existing customers to enhance existing relationships.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  • Collaborate with KAM and other divisions’ stakeholders on cross divisional deals
  • Increase the focus on the Key accounts, by ensuring maximum leverage of the existing contracts and scouting for new opportunities

Business Development Planning

  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Develop internal connection to be update and knowlegeble on future Stryker launch and investment and start preparing the market for those.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Lead the execution of specific growth campaigns and develop them on the field (ie by demonstrating products in the Operating Room)
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing Stryker value proposition and how this can support Customer development.
  • Cooperate with marketing on Salesforce training

Analysis and Research

  • Analyze and optimize the usage of company assets (ie demos). Coordinate the various stakeholders involved in the process.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet sales targets. Identify threats and opportunities
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose to enhance the company’s performance.
  • Map competitors structure and collect as many information as possible on competitors selling advantage.

What you will need

  • Economic or Scientific degree desirable
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Proven experience in delivering excellence in market share growth and financial commitments.
  • A good understanding of P&L, and working knowledge of how to maximise profits, for Stryker.
  • This manager needs to be out and about, with high visibility and impact, living and breathing all Stryker’s values to customers and employees alike.
  • Experience in executing on the marketing plan within budget constraints.
  • Demonstrated success in leading team through influence and not authority.
  • Acumen in setting sales coverage and leveraging territory coverage and customer focus.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; strong cross-functional influencing skills & teamwork
  • Strong in to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
