What you will do

Manager for Stryker Neurovascular engineering services. The candidate will devote a portion of their time to managerial, leadership, technology development and staff development responsibilities. Things to consider including:

  • Assists in and/or manages functional deliverables and ensures technical excellence for product or technical development.
  • Leads technical advancement projects.
  • Prioritizes activities and ensures proper resources are identified and allocated to meet goals for Neurovascular projects.
  • Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple department projects.
  • Provides guidance and approval regarding technical strategies and approaches.
  • Ensures continued intellectual property development from self and staff.
  • Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high-quality staff.
  • Assists in and/or completes the development of budgets and monitors spending.
  • Assists in identifying and developing department tools.
  • Assists in and/or determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources.  Works with project managers to understand priorities and plans resource and time allocation accordingly.
  • Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships.
  • Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Monitors and evaluates project and department progress and results.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.  Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented
  • Collaboratively determines project staff assignments and schedules work to meet completion dates and R&D deliverables.

What you need

•         B.S. degree in engineering or applicable technical field (mechanical or biomedical preferred) (M.S. or/and Ph.D. preferred)

•         4+ years’ of device design & development experience

•         2+ years’ of people or project management experience preferred
