Job description

What you will do:

The Operations, Associate Team Leader within the Engineering Operations and Services department leads a team of technicians to create and refine custom 3D bone models for medical device applications. This role requires medical device compliance standards, exceptional leadership and communication skills. The team leader motivates and guides the team to achieve high productivity and quality while working closely with management and other departments. Additionally, the leader supports less experienced team members through training and activities to improve their performance.

  • Provide strong leadership to a team of technicians, fostering collaboration, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met, and creating a positive, productive work environment. Monitor team performance, set clear objectives, and offer regular feedback and coaching to drive success.

  • Look for continuous process improvement opportunities and optimization of project workflows.

  • Actively participate in the iterative design process, incorporating feedback to improve model accuracy and functionality, while providing clear instructions and making informed decisions in complex situations.

  • Contribute to low to medium complexity projects as a team leader, coordinating activities and leading project tasks to ensure successful completion.

  • Maintain open and effective communication with team members and stakeholders, sharing progress updates, insights, and feedback for the team.

  • Efficiently allocate resources, manage work schedules, and ensure tasks are completed on time.

  • Identify training needs and provide opportunities for skill development and career advancement within the team.

  • Any other tasks that sit outside your current role from time to time to support the activities of the business.

What you need

Required:

  • 4+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in guiding projects and teams effectively in the engineering field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial or mechanical)

  • English level B2 (80%).

  • Deep understanding of quality and performance KPIs of the department.

  • Ability to create and share complex plans and technical information with team members.

  • Microsoft office skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred:

  • Experience with orthopedic/mechanical products and software.

  • Knowledge in CAD software for digital modeling and design tasks.
