Job Description

The Job's Mission 

Stryker Scandinavia Tender & Pricing works cross-functionally to realize Stryker commercial and corporate goals. Specifically, the team is responsible for a portfolio of activities that include Tenders, Pricing, Quotes, Sales Contracts, Analyzes and support deriving from needs associated to tenders and quotes from an administrative point of view.  Should position Stryker to be perceived by the customers as excellent in producing effective and compelling tender documents. This small group is comprised of individuals with diverse expertise but a common passion to drive Stryker’s agenda inside and outside of the organization within an extremely busy and deadline focused environment

Key Activities & Accountabilities 

  • Full accountability in managing the preparation and submission of Tender documentation, instilling a proactive approach to new submissions through strong collaborative communication with the Sales/marketing team.
  • Full accountability in managing the preparation of contracts resulting from the business won from the submission of Tenders  
  • Respond to on-going internal and external customer inquiries regarding contracts and pricing
  • Manage the special pricing deals set up for customers
  • Further define and improve upon the existing Tender and contracting processes to increase process efficiencies and output effectiveness.
  • Prepare margin analysis for list prices, tenders and bids
  • Support with collection of information for business case analysis on offers and tenders.
  • Discount calculations based on tender obligations. Adapted to the different countries defined needs.
  • Follow up, analyse and investigate different request from local business

Duties to include:

  • Respond to published OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union) advertisements and apply for full texts which are to be completed in a timely manner and prior to closing date.
  • Assistance, with the management of Stryker Annual Price master files and production of Stryker Price list per country
  • Ownership of maintaining and reviewing pricing on all Special Pricing to ensure usage warrants pricing
  • Loading tender pricing once received award notification – amending any special pricing already on system
  • Ownership of group email – either dealing with queries independently or passing them on to the relevant team member
  • Responding to internal and external customer queries around pricing and statistics
  • Actively seek ways to improve the department and the efficiency of processes through close collaboration with cross-functional Stryker Leaders (MM(Marketing Manager), KAD (key account director) and NSM (national sales manager) & TSM (technical service manager)) to create effective and persuasive materials.
  • Support with contract monitoring
  • Client liaison, gaining intelligence of forthcoming bids
  • Maintain accurate records and files (manual & electronic) of all the tender data (i.e. correspondence, quotations, internal input, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate lessons, win/loss reports and analysis for each bid
  • Comply with company & local standards, procedures & protocols with specific responsibility

  • Continued activity and responsibility to raise the standard and quality of bids to increase bid

win ratio


  • Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English. Any other Nordic language is a plus
  • University degree
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Adequate IT Knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office, Oracle).


  • 5+ years of related work experience in Tender work or other relevant position, for example, purchaser
  • Experience working in a multi-international business environment preferred.
  • Experience working with analyzes
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Super user in Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of public (and private) sector tender/bid requirements
