What you will do

As a Technical Field Service Representative, you will interact with customers, company sales and service representatives to handle a variety post-sales service functions, such as:

  • Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, Fault Isolation, and Repair(s)
  • Keeping customer equipment in functioning condition by ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on a regular basis
  • Managing service part inventory to support Service Activities
  • Being responsible for a fantastic customer experience!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform effective, proficient, and timely repairs, upgrades, field actions, preventative maintenance, or any other related services required by a client
  • Follow all operational procedures. administrative duties, complete all necessary paperwork such as: Repair Orders, Service Request Forms, Product Inquiries, and Quality Inspection(s)
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of Stryker equipment, service parts, tools. Conduct regular cycle counts and verify tool calibration
  • Keeping track of business KPI’s and department objectives
  • Understanding team goals and keeping track of personal metrics
  • Share knowledge and best practices with co-workers, provide active assistance to high volume territories
  • Workload includes extensive travel within assigned territory, with up to 25% of overnight travel and occasional travel across Canada and in the US
  • Conduct work in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with Stryker’s high ethical standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Flexible work hours, including late evenings  (2pm to 11pm)
  • Related technical experience in field
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong time management skills, and ability to set priorities and manage multiple functions to adhere to daily and weekly deadlines
  • Knowledge of proper lifting/body mechanic techniques
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have an outstanding driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma required, University Degree Preferred
  • Background from a Technical School in Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Background
  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
  • Lean Six Sigma experience an asset
