Job Description

  • Drive team productivity targets. Perform individual production approximately 10% of the day; the other 90% would be focused on problem solving.
  • Capable of covering all processes within area.


  • Ability to report out and project team metrics to senior leadership and exhibit a deep understanding of MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) through tier 1 and tier 2.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisor and/or Associate Manager to manage resources and provide feedback on operator performance.
  • Coordinate shift hand-off.
  • Train team on all aspects of the MDI process.
  • Interview and on-board temporary employees, providing them with objectives and daily feedback.
  • Coordinate all training within department area, i.e. Safety, Quality, e3 compliance, etc.
  • Allocate resources within area based on business metrics.
  • Perform leader standard work and quality audits within area.


  • Influence a culture of safety within the team and support safety improvements and audits.
  • Conduct 6S and safety audits and hand out action items at the shop floor (Tier 1) level.
  • Manage open work orders in the facilities maintenance system.
  • Compile and report out safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented.


  • Coordinate the placement of Quality Awareness Tests. 
  • Lead continuous improvement projects within area.  These include projects improving safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure team members are up to date with E3 training.


  • Partner with manager to drive manufacturing cost savings and improve cell/department financial metrics.  Own factory material & tooling metrics.
  • Manage aged receipts and invoices.
