What you will do

The Talent Acquisition Manager, East Asia will play an important role in shaping the TA practices and delivery for East Asia. As a strategic talent advisor, you will build partnerships with business leaders, hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and diverse recruitment sources while maintaining excellent relationships across TA.  The primary focus is building and delivering a highly capable internal recruitment function for East Asia. This includes handling the day to day operations of the recruiting in Singapore and Hong Kong, and partnering with local HR teams to develop recruitment strategies and delivery in Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The goal is to deliver phenomenal client experiences through results and credibility, while enabling future organizational growth. In addition to driving a culture of continuous improvement and development, you will inspire peers and stakeholders to achieve greatness, lead projects/initiatives that propel our capability, and deliver flawless execution to the business.  As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will own the recruiting strategy for East Asia as part of the APAC TA Leadership Team.    

What you need

  • ​8+ years of Talent Acquisition experience  
  • 2+ years significant multi-country recruitment experience in Asia 
  • Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change, and reduce third party agency usage to meet deliverables in a complex environment 
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization; problem solving and proactive service orientation. 
  • Must have knowledge of recruiting best practices, strong business acumen, excellent project and change management skills  
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing regulatory and business environment 
  • Must thrive when working on complex challenges, identifying and implementing solutions  
  • Must have the ability to train, coach and mentor while building organizational capability 
  • Proven experience influencing people at all levels in the organization, as well as remote colleagues with a strong focus on operational excellence 
  • Excellent ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and communicate information in clear and concise, executive level ready format to derive useful and actionable insights,  
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English (additional languages a plus)
  • Ability to travel regionally (approximately 25%) and globally (less than 10%) 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of end-to-end recruiting experience
  • 2+ years of experience significant influencing and change management within HR/Recruiting 
  • Preferred candidates will have a mix of agency and corporate recruitment experience
  • Global exposure and/or US multinational experience is preferred. 
  • Experience recruiting within the medical device, life sciences, bio-tech, pharmaceutical, or related industries a plus
  • This role doesn’t have direct reports right now, but might in the future. Previous experience leading a team of recruiters would be beneficial
