Job Description

The Job's Mission

The Territory Sales Manager is a field based role responsible for driving sales in his/her sales territory, he /she is responsible for developing relationships with users of the Surgical portfolio.
He / she is required to manage existing business and account manage the established customers, while hunting down new business opportunities within the territory.

Key Activities & Accountabilities
  • Customer service / acquisition of new customers
  • Territory Planning, executing and monitoring of all measures necessary to guarantee achieving budget

This encompasses in particular:
  • Driving growth in the territory through active constant customer engagement
  • Customer selection, targeted sales approach
  • Plan and execute on a quarterly and annual business plan, this will be showing management of existing revenue streams and customers, and driving acquisition across the territory generating growth.
  • Control all resources and materials in his/her territory (demo kit)
  • Customer care for physicians, surgical/theatre staff and hospital administration with the goal of achieving qualitative and sales-oriented consultation
  • Ensuring products are sold and revenue gains are established within the limits of in-house guidelines,
  • Achieving the sales and margin targets for the territory
  • Managing contracts and pricing agreements in the territory, working with RM and PM to ensure this is within the desired company bands.
  • Representing Stryker to all levels of HCP, commissioners and managers in their territory
  • In-theatre support where required
  • Completing quotes / reporting as and when required

Job Requirements

  • Preferably training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in sciences, economics or the like
  • Successful sales experience within the NHS (desired) or in other industries
  • Verifiable success in sales (any experience is a must...surgical sales is desired)
  • Experience customer acquisition, shows ability to seek new business
  • Knowledge and experience a commercial sales background preferably Surgical sales or NHS lead.
  • Relationship building skills, has to be a natural relationship builder
  • Anatomical proficiency
  • Knowledge of a CRM system
  • Computer skills, MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media
