Job Description

The intern will assist the Portfolio Development Manager and where necessary the wider European Marketing team, with input into meaningful projects that contribute to continued growth across the Surgical portfolio.

Approx. 70% of your time you will be involved in Business Development:

  • You will market Assessment. Lead market analysis for 3-5 potential product spaces for Stryker as part of an acquisition strategy. This includes market sizing, competitive overview, growth trends and recent innovations.
  • You will assist with target company research and key fact sheets to drive decision making on synergy or targets with Stryker, key financial metrics and potential sales.
  • You will assist with due diligence and integration project tracking and management, to create a standardized process for future marketing acquisitions in Europe

And approx. 30% you will be working on General Brand Marketing and Training assistance: projects to vary according to needs.

You will be:

  • Developing an understanding of select markets and the products they consist of
  • Primary research and secondary data analysis to build a market overview
  • Online and primary research on target companies to build an overview and identify strategic fit
  • Collaboration with PMs and Brand Managers to identify targets and conduct research
  • Project management for due diligence and / or inter-agency activities on the basis of an up-and-coming integration
  • Research of existing DTC marketing campaigns to define requirements and success factors
  • Building a project plan and resourcing, as well as aligned DTC strategy across brands, in collaboration with Brand and Product Managers
  • Other duties as required to support the company's goals and marketing / sales objectives and initiatives. These may include development of marketing or training materials, videos, event planning, meeting planning and communications tasks

Education / Experience Requirement:

  • Working towards a bachelor’s or Master's degree
  • Ideally looking for a career in marketing and / or healthcare

Competencies:

  • Strong initiative and self-management
  • Ability to work independently with guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency; ability to work with and understand Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional partners developing positive working relationships
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly time management and prioritization
  • Performance driven, results orientated
  • Ability and willngness to travel

Some additional information regarding the internship:

  • For the full duration of the internship you will be registered to a Dutch (or European university)
  • We are recruiting for interns available to started September 1st for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Stryker will pay an internship allowance of 400 euro’s gross for Master students based in the Netherlands, commute cost (by public transportation can be reimbursed).
  • With your application you confirm to hold an EU passport, or you hold a valid work permit to work in the Netherlands.
  • This internship is based in Amsterdam, we are open and do welcome international students, if you are currently not living in the Netherlands, please note you will need to arrange the housing yourself.
