What you will do-

Procures make-to-stock finished goods at the lowest cost consistent with quality and urgency of need. Coordinates communication activities with contract manufacturer (CM) or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to meet supply planning requirements. Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation. Tracks all shipments from CM/OEM and conducts checks against orders. Job consists of 60% strategic projects and 40% tactical responsibilities.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Issue suggested purchase orders based upon MRP system suggestions and supply plan. 
  • Request changes to purchase order dates from suppliers based upon MRP system suggestions.
  • Update MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected FG stocking.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and ensure on-time receipt.
  • Issue purchase orders to support engineering changes.
  • Update the business on the status and direction of your business on a daily basis or as required.
  • Update internal customers on key finished goods supply issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Coordinate engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.
  • Update purchase orders as required.
  • Manage supplier to maintain continuity of supply and product availability.
  • Challenge all price increase requests from suppliers and escalate if unsuccessful.
  • Serve as single point of contact for suppliers for SCR/Change Order tracking and prioritization.
  • Hold suppliers accountable to shipment plan.


What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing purchasing and/or production planning experience preferred
  • Preferred functional skills – Kanban, MRP, JDE and/or SAP proficiency, PC proficiency, Purchasing system/procedures, Supplier Management
