Job Description

The Supplier Master Data Analyst, monitors the proper execution of a set of processes, governance, policies, standards and tools for supplier master data within Master Data Governance (MDG) SAP to ensure that the data is accurate, complete, secure and reliable.

This critical role supports the achievement of program goals, objectives, and deliverables; Partners with Process Teams and divisions during all testing and go live activities (i.e. Integration Testing, Hypercare, and Data Conversion); and Provides oversight, project prioritization, and recommendations for effective data management. Individuals in this position will have a high degree of cross-functional impact based on master data, business processes and policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of master data management for all Supplier data.
  • Act as the link to the business engaging with SME Supplier leads to take active roles in master data ownership, process excellence, and governance.
    • Business process owner responsible for maintaining MDG including business process workflows / data attributes and associated business rules / corporate procedures.
    • Maintain MDG instructions / training documentation to support the Enterprise Data Governance strategy.
    • Coordinate, prioritize Data Quality related requests.
  • Support enterprise MDG Supplier initiatives, including retirement of legacy systems (i.e. SONIC).
  • Identify and manage critical data management issues and risks through change requests and governance process of Enterprise Data Governance.
  • Support Master Data requirements for affliated programs. Audit and support integrity of Master data attributes for the business needs.
  • Works closely with system integrator and provide input into the configuration of MDG. Lead new development of data governance reporting; including requirements, documentation, testing and rolling out new functionality.
  • Manage and lead data cleansing, validation, migration and conversion activities to ensure accuracy of enterprise Supplier master data.
  • Partner with the business to drive adoption of “to be” business process to align MDG capabilities and gain alignment with the Stryker divisions, functions, and geographies.

Education & Special Trainings:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Computer Information Systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of data analysis experience and proficient in ERP systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Focus on detailed work including mining through data, analyzing it and working with the data.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with exceptional business acumen.
  • Facilitation skills with emphasis on coordinating customer relationships with internal functions/groups; ability to solve issues by coordinating cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute on assigned deliverables.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Supplier (or other) master data experience and/or supply chain process experience required.
  • Strong understanding of end to end business processes in the medical device arena, IT systems, key data elements and the inter-relationships between all three.
  • Experience with key master data platforms including MDG SAP is strongly preferred
  • Global large scale system implementations a plus.
