Job Description

• Supervises, coaches and mentors a staff of 10+ employees engaged in collections.

• Supervises & ensures cash receipts are applied correctly, accurately, and timely upon receipt.

• May act as a liaison between customers or sales representatives regarding particular balance status issues or related complications.

• May monitor daily AR Balance, and Days Sales Outstanding.

• Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues.

• Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.

• May be responsible for month end financial close, financial reporting, reconciliation process, and corresponding journal entries.

• Assists Financial Compliance with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are Sarbanes Oxely Compliant and followed by employees.

• Submits periodic reports on the status of receivables goal attainment, aging receivables, unapplied credits and other related reports.

• Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
Perform daily activities of Credit Services Coordinators as necessary: including preparing manual invoices, reconcile customer accounts, post payments, prepare bank deposits.

  • Proficient on Microsoft applications especially Excel. Familiarity with MS Access.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • 4-6 years related experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • B.A. or B.S. in business or related curriculum.
