Stryker is seeking to hire a Staff Engineer, Advanced Operations to be responsible for the transfer of new products from research & design into manufacturing in Davie, FL at Stryker’s Robotics Innovation Center.

We are seeking a Staff Engineer, Advanced Operations with experience in electromechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and monitors experience. As a Staff Engineer, Advanced Operations you will oversee the transfer of new products into manufacturing.  We are seeking candidates who have expertise in the area of electromechanical assemblies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Staff Engineer, Advanced Operations you will be a part of the development and introduction of new products and work extensively with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing Operations to take a product from design concept through production ramp up.

ADDITIONALLY, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Review designs for components and assemblies.
  • Develop manufacturing process and test strategies.
  • Select and develop suppliers that will understand and comply with our requirements.
  • Utilize design transfer tools such as Process Flow chart, Process FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis and Process Validation.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Electrical Engineering Highly Preferred).
  • 5 years related work experience required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have a good understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Must be familiar with process development for electromechanical assemblies.
  • Must be familiar with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to manufacturing/design technical issues.
