Job Description

The Sr. Systems Test Engineer will lead system and sub-system Verification and Validation activities for the complex electromechanical medical devices to deliver best-in-class robotic-assisted orthopaedics solutions.  In addition,  System Test engineer will be responsible to drive development of automation framework by developing tools and test cases.  Additional responsibilities will include Verification activities throughout the software development lifecycle for new and existing Stryker Robotics applications.

  • Develop, test and execute automated test on complex Robotics system.
  • Participate in the design, development, documentation, analysis and testing of assigned project.
  • Coordinate automated testing with Software development, Software Test and System Test teams.
  • Develop Test project schedules and V&V Test Matrix.
  • Identify, record, analyze, and track defects encountered during testing.
  • Provide feedback to developers, system designers, and project managers on requirements, test solutions, and project execution deliverables.
  • Develop Test Fixtures using SolidWorks, Matlab, LabView
  • Hands on experience with Machine Shop tools; Lathe, Milling machine, CNC, etc.
  • Mentor fellow Software Test engineers.
  • Investigate and recommend systems/tools to support continuous integration and test automation objectives and processes.
  • Work closely with other teams to build and maintain testing infrastructure.
  • Lead Reliability and regressing testing for Robotic Systems and Instruments.
  • Familiarity with Regulatory standards such as IEC 60601-3rd Edition.
  • Participate in Cadaver labs to develop understanding of the surgical workflow.
  • Bachelors in Engineering required
  • 2+ years of engineering experience required
