Job Description

Basic Function

The Sr. Sourcing Analyst is a key member in the Global Sourcing team that assists in the logistical functions associated with new product launches, including but not limited to, the handling of material requests during new product development, BOM management, PO management, data collection and analysis, cost reduction, and reporting related to sourcing activities. 


  • Support new product launches and R&D purchasing, including PO placement, BOM management, material transactions, communication of revision updates to suppliers, and coordination of shipments to/from suppliers
  • Analyzes quotations received, and schedules delivery of products, materials, and/or components
  • Will support Agile maintenance for new products, including product lifecycle changes via Manufacuring Change Orders and Material Reviews in support of R&D design controls
  • Will assist in the R&D launch process by creating work orders and managing material flow during new product development builds
  • Will prepare and follow up on orders to expedite delivery and shipment
  • Will resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Will support metrics reporting and analysis.
  • Will analyze complicated datasets and work with cross-functional partners to streamline reporting and NPD process improvement; generates tools for real time reporting and projections.
  • Will serve as a subject matter expert and train others on Agile activities related to New Product Development
  • May be responsible for leading cost reduction and/or special project teams
  • Will manage the logistics of Cost Roll for new products
  • Ensure accurate BOM maintenance and cost tracking
  • Seeks opportunities to identify wastes and increases efficiency to drive continuous improvement cross-functionally
  • Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of prototypes and V&V material
  • Coordinate smooth post launch material flow for Operations
  • Support the collection and assessment of supplier compliance information, such as Country of Origin (COO), Conflict Minerals, Supplier Diversity, etc.

Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred

  • 3+ years experience in purchasing, marketing, manufacturing, quality, or other relevant field within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • technical expert in ERP and Document management systems, Oracle and Agile
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong relationship skills with internal process partners and suppliers
  • Understanding of project management process
  • Ability to make decisions regarding materials, planning, and supplier relationships
    PC literate with strong knowledge of planning systems/approaches and measurement tools essential

Education/Special Training Required

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Related Discipline
