Job Description

Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities. Determines systems software design requirements. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.

Education and Special Training Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (such as computer engineering, software engineering, biomedical engineering, or mathematical sciences);
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in computer science preferred; Combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Qualifications and Work Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience (or MS with 2+ years’ experience, or a PhD degree)
  • Proficiency with C++ programming language
  • Computer graphics and 3D geometry
  • Data structures and algorithms
  • Object Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Use of software developments tools, such as version control, IDEs, compilers, interpreters, debuggers, continuous integration, etc.
  • Knowledge of Qt is a plus
  • Experience in biomedical applications is a plus
  • Be detail-oriented with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal and organizational skills
