What you will do

  • Lead New Product Development projects from Research through the Stryker New Product Development process.  Provide leadership, motivate and monitor a cross-functional team of resources from various functions.
  • Provide overall project direction related to schedule, cost, performance, and resources.
  • Develop project plans including: Task lists, GANTT or PERT chart
  • Will develop functional specifications that fully define project and product.
  • Will periodically provide progress report to stakeholders and other functional areas of the company affected by the project
  • Will monitor and control project: Scope, Timelines,  Costs & Resources
  • Providing development and guidance for assigned Co-op/Intern/Technician/Engineer.
  • Career development planning for assigned Co-op/Intern/Technician/Engineer.
  • Ensure Capital requirements are defined and the necessary step are taken to secure funding to support the project; track and monitor performance to budget.

What you need

  • B.S. engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial) or BA
  • 8-10 years project experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong technical background: software, robotics or related field preferred
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communications skills
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational, industry, and technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate problem solving teams
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed process plans using applicable tools (e.g. PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, track and facilitate projects using applicable tools (Gantt and Pert Charts etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to justify, procure and implement major capital equipment programs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet database)
  • Experience using PM Systems & Software
  • Statistical control techniques
  • Project management training and understanding
