Job Description

Strategic Marketing Team of Sage Products Purpose Statement: To build strategies and develop messaging that move markets and grow our brands globally, in alignment with the Stryker Mission, Vision and Values.

Lead the development and execution of the Sage Products EMEA Sales and Marketing plan.

  • Develop and support the execution of the sales strategy for EMEA
  • Lead, develop and execute the EMEA marketing plans and sales training plans to support all markets
  • Lead and execute the restructuring of our EMEA Distribution Channels
  • Lead product portfolio responsibilities including collaboration with New Product Develop and Business Development to expand the Sage EMEA product offering
  • Lead and identify collaborative projects with enabling functions (Operational, Key Account Management, Flex Financial, Clinical) to enhance selling efforts
  • Support the sales team through direct co-selling, marketing campaigns and sales training
  • Execute key strategic projects to create a market for Oral Care and CHG cloths in UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands ex. Creation on new Oral Care guidelines
  • Develop and support a marketing manager and customer one
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with clinical thought leaders
  • Develop key clinicians for the Clinical Speaker Program
  • Research, plan and implement national trade show involvement including sponsorships, clinical poster sessions and sales strategy by country
  • Coordinate the development of support tools, sales literature, marketing campaigns, iPresent Tools, Customer One and related collaterals to drive forecast attainment
  • Drive results through influence-matrix management
  • Understand competitive products, strategies and their market impact

  • Conduct ongoing training sessions for Sage EMEA sales team and distribution partners
  • Invest 50% of your time working in field with sales team: new business, training and clinical outcomes
  • Direct the dissemination of vital information to the international sales force
  • Initiate, coordinate, direct and implement marketing communication programs:
    • Clinical Studies; In-service Materials; Continuing Education; Video Materials ; Product Advertising
  • Support all functions and accountability for product changes, pricing maintenance and profitability
  • Identify and direct all product line projects with internal Sage departments

  • Initiate, develop and lead the annual sales-marketing planning process for the EMEA business plan including the unit sales forecast and marketing budget
  • Establish quarterly and annual marketing objectives
  • Direct all fundamental efforts toward achievement of marketing objectives for each product line forecast and budget in existing and new market opportunities

Relational/Interpersonal Skills:
  • Establish a positive working relationship with sales team and corporate management
    • Regular meetings; respond to needs; train reps in the field
  • Create opportunities for two-way communication with the sales force
  • Develop a positive working relationship with Corporate Accounts, QA/RA, Manufacturing, Materials Management, New Product Development, Engineering and Executive Staff
  • Maintain frequent contact with customers and sales force through regularly scheduled field work-withs

  • Translate technical, clinical and statistical data into marketable concepts and information
  • Track sales data and analyze trends quarterly for use by sales, marketing, manufacturing and planning

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Professional Medical Marketing experience required. Medical sales and or sales management experienced also required.
