Job Description

"Help with establishing the division’s technical vision and direction and leading all aspects of the division’s technology scouting, assessment, recommendation and integration. Play an integral role in the division and company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth.,

  • 20+ years in medical device or closely related industry. Global experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product portfolios.

  • Demonstrated understanding of broad technology field and ability to narrow down options towards recommendation and impact to strategic needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage intellectual property portfolio.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify or innovate, and integrate new ideas, technologies and products into the company’s pipeline.

  • Experience with interfacing with external partners (physicians, consultants, health care professionals, companies, academia, etc…) and internal groups (Marketing, Business Development, R&D, Regulatory, Sales, Operations, etc…).

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability for technology scouting, assessment, selection and recommendation.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and commercialize products, manage technical risks and cross-functional new product development teams.

Demonstrated experience managing direct reports, including recruiting, developing, coaching, team building, and disciplining/terminating."
