Job Description



Responsible for creating verification plans and test procedures for testing medical devices in accordance with internal development procedures.  The activities conducted include the documentation and test development of software for medical devices.

  • Develops procedures and forms for integration and system level tests for medical devices in accordance with internal software development lifecycle requirements in compliance with FDA software development guidance
  • Work cooperatively with multiple Stryker divisions which include, but are not limited to: research and development and quality assurance to ensure strong communication during software test development activities
  • Responsible for the documentation of test procedures and test forms as well as supporting documents
  • Provide software test development support to legacy products
  • Works with multi-disciplinary teams in the software verification and validation testing
  • Works with multi-disciplinary teams to create software requirement specifications and verification plans.
  • Works with other Stryker divisions and 3rd parties to review software test procedures and ensure documentation provided by these other parties meet software documentation standards
  • Works with the quality assurance group to support tool validation activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or another engineering based software development degree.
  • Experience with C, C#.net, C++ preferred; in-depth experience with 1 software language required
  • Ability to work with individuals around the world on distributed development activities
  • Experience or education with 8, 16, or 32 bit microcontroller programming required
  • Demonstrated written and oral communications skills including strong presentation skills
