Job Description

Job duties will include:

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with state/US Territory unclaimed property laws.
  • Serve as KFSS’s resource to timely clear potential unclaimed property items from AR/AP.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, division finance staff and various KFSS Coordinators regarding outstanding checks and Accounts Receivable items, as appropriate.
  • Respond to unclaimed property inquiries from customers, suppliers, divisions and various KFSS Coordinators as received.
  • Acquire supporting documents for unclaimed property audits for remediation.
  • Responsible for other duties and special projects as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent.  Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook,etc) required.  Strong analytical skills.  JDE/AS400 ERP system knowledge required.   Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills, as well as, ability to pay strong attention to detail.  Minimum of 2 – 3 years of relevant experience. Accounting systems knowledge preferred.

Subject matter expert.  Acts as a positive role model for the team.

Works with minimal supervision within their assigned goals.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.  Following guidelines, able to research and resolve problems.  Ability to prioritize work, and to keep accurate, detailed and confidential records.  Excellent customer service skills.  Knowledge and ability to train team members.
