We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Joint Replacement division in Weston, Florida. As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved with system level design of best in class orthopedic robotic surgical applications. You will have the ability to work with cross-functional teams to design software and hardware elements with a focus on robotic arm behaviors during bone preparation.

What you will do

  • Design and implement complex concepts, draft design documentation, plan, and conduct relevant tests under professional leadership

  • Integrate and administer development tools including required validation under close professional leadership

  • Share best practices and own project experience within own team

  • Work diligently to project schedules as determined by project leaders and be able to clearly communicate status of assignments, coordinate tasks, and shift priorities as dictated by project demands

  • Investigate defined issues with uncertain cause including input solicitation and data gathering that help differentiate the symptoms and root cause of defined problems and propose problem resolutions

  • Meet the needs of internal customers such as GQO, AO, AQE etc. as applicable for specific project assignments

  • Work under supervision with surgeon customers in a user setting, clearly communicate design goals and incorporate feedback into designs

  • Participate in, solicit feedback, and document reports as needed on cadaveric evaluations

What you need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience

  • Creating design specifications and requirements definition, preferred

  • Experience in documenting system design and architecture in SysML such as MagicDraw, preferred

  • The use of risk management practices applied to medical device development, preferred

  • Developing test protocols/procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and creating detailed reports, preferred

  • Matlab and 3D CAD software (SOLIDWORKS), preferred

  • The use of Software Tools (i.e., MiniTab) for statistical analysis, preferred

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
