What you will do

The Senior Sourcing Analyst is a key team member in the New Product Development Sourcing team that provides input and analysis into the sourcing activities of assigned projects and suppliers.  You are responsibly for obtaining the best quality, service and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, lead time and supplier management.  You support the implementation of new product projects related to cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base, sourcing optimization and rationalization, quality improvement and risk. 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectives
  • Support implementation of processes to build a best in class New Product Development sourcing organization
  • Support project teams in creation and implementation of best in class new products
  • Supports sourcing analysis and selection process and performs cost analyses and make versus buy analyses as required
  • Supports contract negotiation and development of contract strategy
  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses
  • Support identification of supply base risk and implementation of mitigation plans
  • Obtain and communicate market condition information and technology trends related to commodities and suppliers. Support related cost controls and business strategy plans
  • Supports establishment and achievement of cost standards for annual operating budgets
  • Supports development of scorecards and business reviews for key suppliers
  • May act as lead to a supplier or commodity

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience required; Experience in purchasing or commodity management within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship skills to develop, mentor and improve supplier performance
  • Understanding of project management process
  • Ability to make decisions regarding materials, planning, and supplier relationships
  • Strong knowledge of planning systems/approaches and measurement tools essential.

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 30%
