What You Will Do 

As part of the Endoscopy Quality team, customers and patients are at the heart of everything we do. Our Quality Engineers maintain our brand of high quality products. In this role, you will:

  • Perform robust root cause analysis of production issues, implement appropriate containment, and drive corrective action.
  • Train and mentor team members on process and technical function related procedures such as root cause problem solving techniques, SPC techniques, Lean methodology, Quality Systems, and more.
  • Provide engineering support to assigned business units such as repair analysis, electrical/mechanical component issue resolution, Lean process development, and more.
  • Design and build experimental and/or production fixtures, equipment or systems of  complex scope, including electronic hardware and software aspects.
  • Make independent decisions and drive team towards issue resolution of non-conformances and product holds.
  • Communicate, support, and resolve QA issues within the Process/Supplier Quality Team to include CAPAs, non-conforming material risk analysis, design verification and validations, design reviews for post market issues, and more.
  • Evaluate and improve quality inspection methods and fixtures to improve reliability and repeatability of incoming, in-process, and final QC.
  • Evaluate production/inspection equipment, processes, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance to regulatory and quality system requirements.
  • Drive detection and prevention of non-conformances to improve business results through reductions in scrap and rework costs in addition to assurance of a positive customer experience
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Partner with engineering to aid in resolution of customer complaints associated with in-house production.
  • Extract and process test data and perform routine analysis to ensure accuracy, applicability and reasonableness.
  • Validate production/inspection fixtures for appropriateness, accuracy and repeatability.
  • Submit periodic reports to supervisor on assigned topics.
  • Potentially construct components, subassemblies and complete prototype models and/or experimental apparatus.
  • Investigate and thoroughly understand developments in quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Potentially fabricate parts where close tolerances are not required and order repair and/or prototype component parts.

What You Need

  • B.S. within an engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, quality, manufacturing or working in a highly regulated industry.

What We Would Love That You Have

  • Quality Assurance and Quality Systems knowledge and understanding (QSR, ISO:13485)
  • Competency utilizing, developing, and troubleshooting software programs and data analytics systems (i.e. LabVIEW, SQL, Arduino, C++, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze and resolve non-routine to complex product issues using independent judgment.
  • Ability to complete detailed documentation accurately.
  • Ability to read blueprint/schematics and/or mechanical GD&T drawings.
  • Electrical/electronic problem solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Other Things To Consider

  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • The ability to work with small objects and/or component parts.
  • Must have good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills.
  • Must be able to follow and explain detailed instruction and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), and small power tools and common test/inspection equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, digital multi meters, etc.).
