Stryker is seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead manufacturing engineering project prioritization efforts for Stryker’s Medical (Oral Care & Patient Cleanse) products in Cary, Illinois

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the project management portfolio for manufacturing engineering capital, quality and continuous improvement projects.

What You Will Do:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across business including Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing Marketing and New Product Development.   

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Lead site manufacturing engineering project prioritization and stage gate process to meet strategic business goals and program objectives.
  • Coach and mentor project leaders in project management best practices
  • Use financial acumen to develop business case for projects and champion through capital approval process.
  • Assess project risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Responsible for portfolio resource planning including workload allocation and capacity planning to help determine project sequencing in the program.
  • Work with project managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the organization's business objectives.
  • Assess trade-offs for changes to project scope, schedule, and costs that impact the program and related projects.
  • Improve team performance by building cohesiveness, leading, influencing, training, mentoring, and motivating others.
  • Drive collaboration with program and project team members to resolve conflicts, project issues, and deviations to drive them to resolution.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required. (Bachelor’s in engineering highly preferred)
  • 7 years related work experience including demonstrated project management experience.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • MS Project or Agile experience highly preferred.
  • Prior experience Managing project schedules for capital equipment, cost reduction and quality improvement projects highly preferred.
  • Must possess strong communication, project management and influencing skills and can manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Medical Device or regulated work environment experience highly preferred (Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Defense).

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
