Job Description

The Senior Project Manager, Core PMO, is a terrific opportunity to lead projects within Stryker's Accelerate program, our largest transformational enterprise program to date. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading resource capacity analysis and tracking, program metrics and reporting, cross-wave alignment and project planning support and additional support as needed to ensure the success of the PMO. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead detailed resource capacity analysis across all active waves of ERP deployment, identify constraints and recommend alternative planning options to mitigate conflicts.
  • Aggregate critical program metrics and drive continuous, highly effective reporting to drive responses to all changes in program status.
  • Support development, maintenance and alignment of detailed project plans across multiple waves of ERP deployment, defining project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with all the Global ERP Program Project Managers and Solution Delivery Leads to ensure all dependencies are identified and managed in the overall program schedule.
  • Proactive risk and issues management.  Includes the identification, assessment, and prioritization of all program risks combined with the discipline to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of the identified risk. 
  • Support the management and coordination on all aspects of our strategic partners and technology vendors as part of our delivery model.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Review and approve time cards associated with your project.
  • Support program guiding principles; drive harmonized industry-best practice process across all divisions and geographies allowing minor configurations (as necessary) with no customizations.

Education & Special Trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PMP certification desired.
  • Investment in continued education desired.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience is required.
  • Has a proven record of managing successful projects. Experience leading successful large projects across multiple functions and locations.
  • Ability to consider upstream and downstream scheduling and process impacts and implications.
  • Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skillsets.
  • Experienced in ERP Methodologies preferably both traditional waterfall as well more agile approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management.
  • International experience and/or exposure working in other business functions preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean, ITIL, PPM, PMO, etc. standards and processes.
  • Must be able to generate, explain, and present detailed schedules, objectives, reports, and other documentation accurately.
  • Aligned with program goals and principles.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and gain respect from executives and well as business and own team members.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiences.
