Your key responsibilities

  • As member of the biomechanics test laboratory team, you are involved in product safety testing.

  • In your new role, you will take care of the performance and analysis of verification testing of medical devices such as arthroplasty or osteosynthesis implants, external fixators, instruments and sterile packaging.

  • Your tasks include: test planning, test execution, literature research, data analysis, statistics, documentation and support in problem solving.

  • Beside internal testing, your responsibility additionally includes the coordination with external laboratories and institutions.

  • You will support multi-site international projects and test activities in various testing laboratories and shape your field of work by optimizing existing operations.

  • Finally, you will document your work by writing technical reports in English language.

What are we looking for?

  • You hold a university degree (PhD, Master) in mechanical engineering (material science, biomechanics, medical engineering or similar).

  • You ideally gained professional experience in the verification of medical devices (e.g. testing of mechanical components, assessing biocompatibility, wear testing etc.) and you have already executed verification testing campaigns in the medical device industry.

  • You ideally are experienced in the verification of (small joint) arthroplasty devices.

  • You have a good knowledge of mechanics, materials, biomechanics and biological aspects.

  • You are characterized by logical reasoning plus your creativity will enable you to work in our highly regulated environment.

  • You value an international working environment where you can use your very good command of English, good command of German, and ideally also basic command in French.
