Stryker is one of the world's leading medical technology companies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.  We are currently seeking a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the development and implementation of processes related to new products.  Candidates are required to have strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes, as well as experience with cable manufacturing and computers.

Advanced Operations is leading the creation of a global team dedicated to achieving excellence in Manufacturing Transfer (MT) This role will support our Manufacturing Transfer team  being a Key Enabler of transformation delivering on “cost out” opportunities to become a global competitive advantage.

Location:  Fort Lauderdale, FL

What you will do

Be a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer in one of the most exciting and successful areas at Stryker Robotics. Be part of the development and introduction of new products and work extensively with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing Operations to take a product from design concept through production ramp up.

Specific responsibilities of the PCBA Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop processes for the manufacture of PCBAs
  • Develop manufacturing test strategies for PCBAs
  • Select and develop suppliers that will understand and comply with our requirements
  • Utilize design transfer tools such as Process Flow chart, Process FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis and Process Validation

What you need

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required for this role.

Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills/experiences:

  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Experience with PCBA manufacturing is REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of design transfer tools such as process flow charts, PFMEAs, process controls, process validation
  • Proven ability to effectively work in a fast paced, dynamic and results oriented team environment
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to technical manufacturing and design issues
