What you will do:

As a Project Engineer – Advanced Operations you will execute assigned project elements with an emphasis on manufacturing systems and procedures required for the manufacture of new products. 

You will employ project management best practice to reduce product time to market while adhering to regulatory requirements, project deadlines and product costs.
You will be responsible for providing engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development procedures.
In addition you will drive initiative and project manage the introduction of new capital equipment and support the associated qualification and validation activities.
You should be able to evaluate process layouts in terms of supporting new process integration while ensuring best utilization of floor space ensuring optimum process flow.
There will be a responsibility to ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications.  
You should be able to select equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements as well as work with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols.
You will participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches.

You will be responsible for conducting MSA studies for new products and new processes as well as providing training for manufacturing team members.
You must ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures and review and approve validation documentation


What you need:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 2 or more years of experience in an engineering role
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design.
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Detailed experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry highly preferred.
  • High level of PC Skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
