Summary:

•  Responsible for driving promotional product marketing strategies and programs consistent with the business objectives in the Trauma segment. 

•  Utilize classical marketing approaches including primary and secondary market research, voice of customer, the annual marketing plan, commercialization planning execution of professional advertising and promotion in partnership with sales force and surgeon customers.     

• Develops product marketing strategies to promote current orthopedic surgery implants and instruments. 

• Leads and overlaps in receipt of hand-off of new products from Upstream Marketing prior to launch and develops plan to achieve stated revenue, profitability and market share objectives. 

• Designs, conducts, participates and coaches others in primary market research studies

•  Works with supervisor and co-workers to evaluate market trends and competitors and to grow or protect market share. 

• Benchmarks and performs annual price increase 

• Evaluates opportunities in related and new markets 

•  Develops presentations and delivers monthly/quarterly financial and business results to senior management.  •  Collaborates with field sales management and consulting surgeons to validate, deliver and evaluate marketing strategies and programs. 

•  Partners with other departments in Division (R&D, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Operations) to support high impact launches on new products. 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
• At least 5+ years experience in a classical marketing function and direct product management experience
• Background in healthcare products or medical devices highly preferred
• Demonstrated high level of marketing and/or product expertise
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional and team oriented environment
• Ability to lead teams as part of project work
• Strong oral and written skills (experience presenting to large groups and one-on-one interaction
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects
• Mentor less experienced Marketing Professionals
