Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Design the next-generation LIFENET cloud environment
•    Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. 
•    Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
•    Elicit stakeholder needs
•    Ensure, directly or through delegation, that the vision is correctly communicated to project engineers, realized and integrated.  
•    Lead cross-functional teams during invention and concept development
•    Communicate concept to management, peers and project engineers
•    Assist in the creation of project plans, especially systems engineering deliverables and validation plans
•    Evaluate and advise on tool selection for development and runtime environments.
•    Mentor junior engineers.
•    Perform other related duties as assigned

Either perform or delegate the following:
•    System and product level requirements
•    Risk management activities
•    Sub-system architecture and interfaces design and documentation
•    Facilitating cross-functional technical teams
•    Integrating the system
•    Analyze system problems and determine root cause
•    Write system level verification plans/reports and guide lower level verification efforts
•    Develop and implement corrective actions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applicable discipline
•    Extensive C# experience
•    Extensive experience with public cloud development and deployment
•    Extensive API design and documentation experience
•    12+ years related experience
•    Experience working in a regulated (medical) industry

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Systems engineering experience
•    Excellent verbal and written documentation and communication skills in English
•    Ability to invent, think creatively and be resourceful
•    Familiar with embedded systems development needs

WORKING CONDITIONS:
•    Office environment 
•    Significant computer usage
•    Extended hours as needed
•    Occasional travel
