Job Description: The Senior Portfolio Associate supports the development and execution of Upstream Marketing deliverables within a specific portfolio of the Stryker Endoscopy business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Voice of Customer and Voice of Sales initiatives to understand market dynamics
  • Will facilitate execution of product lines development to achieve stated financial performance targets
  • Will work with designated Product Manager(s) to support product line development
  • Conduct market research to better understand surgeon/customer preferences and medical technology needs. 
  • Interact with physicians, clinicians, sales force, and R&D staff regarding products and product enhancements.
  • Attend and help organize relevant scientific and technical meetings and conferences.
  • Understand customer purchasing behavior and design  value offense accordingly
  • Produce evidence of clinical / economic justification for the future portfolio pipeline
  • Will assist in the capture and communication of product or service value propositions for new and existing products
  • Will create, manage and update process documents to guide continuous improvement and product life cycle efficiency
  • May serve as interim Product Manager if Product Manager is not available to cover given function
  • May present detailed strategic business plans to marketing team(s), business development and Endsocopy business unit leadership
  • May assist in the marketing of our products through exhibits, trade shows and educational lab execution.
  • Will submit periodic reports on assigned topics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience required in marketing, sales, or R&D within medical, pharmaceutical, or other relevant industry preferred
  • Must be able to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to create and effectively communicate detailed marketing / business plans / proposals.
  • Must be able to routinely make decisions that may affect immediate marketing operations and have a divisional effect.
  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills.
  • Fundamental computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Experience creating and executing strategic marketing brand plans / business plans
  • Experience managing medical device product launches
