What you will do

As a Sr. Microbiologist you will be responsible for the Biosafety (Biocompatibility, Sterilization and Microbiology) activities within SNV.  You will be managing the Microbiology Lab activities and be a subject matter expert for product development teams. You will coordinate biosafety activities and ensure process is compliant to standards and regulations. You will execute quality initiatives that support compliance to standards as well as identifying opportunities for improving the biosafety processes. 

  • You will be responsible for coordinating microbiological, chemical and/or biocompatibility testing.
  • You will perform microbiology, sterilization, and biocompatibility assessments and evaluations for new product introduction as well as design changes.
  • You will perform validations and write/improve procedures.
  • You will review and approve environmental monitoring, bioburden and endotoxin data and manage the records, prepares process and status reports, assigns and monitors document numbers and review documents.
  • You will be the Biosafety SME in both internal and external audit situations.
  • You will own NC/CAPA activities within your area of expertise.

What you need  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or engineering
  • 2 years minimum experience as a Microbiologist (LAL/Bioburden/EM testing, Biocompatibility, Sterilization)
  • 4 years of experience as a Microbiologist (LAL/Bioburden/EM testing, Biocompatibility, Sterilization) is preferred Master’s Degree preferred
