What You Will Do: The Senior Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for providing data, analysis and insights to support strategic marketing planning initiatives. This role will own being the single source of truth on market, competitive and industry data for the oganization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

-  Deliver Strategically focused, data-driven insights

  • Leverage sources and tools to proactively deliver data-driven insights that can help grow our business
  • Proactively deliver information and insights to internal stakeholders in anticipation of their needs (Help our marketing team and leaders see what they otherwise would not through visualization of insights)
  • Manage time appropriately to look for insights across our data sets and data from business partners – balancing short term execution and long-term strategic business priorities
  • Monitor, analyze and proactively look for new types of insights in industry and market data sets

- Own our Single source of truth for quantitative market data

  • Deliver to the organization a single source for quantitative market related data from which internal stakeholders can make data-backed decisions
  • Construct and manage forecast models to meet commercial, strategy and business development needs
  • Assist in analyzing primary and secondary market research data to support strategic analysis and decision making
  • Lead data entry, validation and maintenance of internal & external databases
  • Deliverables may include but are not limited to: market share analyses, competitive growth trends, forecasts, procedural market data, pricing data, trend infographics, PowerBI dashboards and visualizations and others as needed

- Manage 3rd party data, information and insight vendor relationships and budget

  • Deliver access to market data to internal stakeholders (including but not limited to procedure, surgeon, facility, competitive data) and own internal knowledge management archives, such as SharePoint
  • Includes access to 3rd party data as well as internally developed data sets
  • Partner with IS to ensure access to PowerBI and/or other necessary platforms, services, systems or technologies
  • Structure and warehouse data with access, delivery and usability of end user in mind
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise and leadership in building data and analytics capabilities for Stryker

- Help build organizational capability around story-telling with data and innovate around application of data sources to drive insights

- Support strategic planning and marketing planning processes as needed by Director

- Support ad hoc research and analysis requests as needed
- Drive collaboration between Market Insights/Intelligence and other functions (marketing, IS, Finance, sales ops, etc.), and between divisions as part of the cross divisional market insights council

What You Need:

  • 5 + years of experience leading market modeling, database management, market research, competitive analysis and business reporting
  • 2 + years’ experience analyzing healthcare market data and claims data (IMS, CMS, Premier or other)
  • Experience with PowerBI required.
  • Solid knowledge of database software (Sequel/ SQL) and/or statistical software (SPSS, Minitab or other)
  • Proven success in leading cross-function projects in a matrix organization, and in managing external service vendors
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite software (including Access, Excel macro programming and SharePoint)
  • Proven success working in a fast paced, multi task environment with particular attention to details
  • Strong communication skills – capable of telling a story through data and data visualizations

Work From Home: Occasional

Travel Percentage: 10%
