Job Description


  • Analyzes assembly issues and identify, test and implement the most effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Aids in the new product development process by identifying effective and efficient assembly techniques and manufacturing processes to be used.
  • Designs, procures, and may qualify (IQ/OQ/PQ) fixtures, equipment, and tools as needed to increase efficiency, safety and ensure quality products at minimal costs.
  • Ensures manufacturing documentation and process validation are complete, accurate and within GMP compliance.
  • Conducts analysis on variables within the unit (e.g. rework, scrap, warranty return, etc.) and address recurring issues as appropriate.
  • Submits periodic reports on assigned topics to appropriate personnel.
  • May interact, by telephone, with customers to resolve product issues.
  • May train others on manufacturing engineering related topics.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Has the independence and authority to perform require tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met

Skills/Experience required

  • 3-5 years manufacturing / design experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated CAD experience (CREO, SolidWorks)
  • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical problem solving skills
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Light work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
  • Must have very good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills
  • Must be able to generate, follow and explain detailed procedures.
  • Fluent in English
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean concepts

Education/training required          

  • High School Diploma required, associates degree preferred
