What you will do-

The Senior Manager’s primary responsibility is to plan, develop and lead the activities of the Global Robotics Pre-Operative Planning business to include the end to end delivery of Service to customers across the U.S. and Global businesses.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops the strategic plan for Global Pre-Operative Planning in coordination with the Mako Commercial Business Unit partners and across the Joint Replacement division to deliver on Business Unit commitments relative to Service
  • Owns the end to end Customer Experience process from initial point of customer contact through the pre-operative plan design, to customer acceptance (customer case management & closure), inclusive of all service level agreements
  • Designs and ensures the implementation of high-quality Service Delivery for the Joint Replacement Division through deployment of annual core goals set against the strategic plan
  • Accountable to define and continuously improve the processes and procedures of the Service Sub-systems that make up the end-to-end process
  • Develops and is accountable to successfully deliver the Pre-Operative Planning Budget in conjunction with setting direction of the group
  • Accountable for the effective delivery of annual budget, making budgetary decisions on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Responsible for planning projections and attainment across all applications
  • Owns customer relationships where applicable and accountable for overall customer experience
  • Accountable for Service audit compliance, preparation, reporting and, where required, corrective action
  • Leads a team of multiple Managers with accountability for an extended organization of direct employees, and contractors
  • In accordance with key divisional imperatives, sets overall operations goals and priorities and evaluates Manager’s performance based on those goals and priorities
  • Coaches and develops leaders within and across the department
  • Responsible for unit personnel compliance with company policies and corrective action
  • Customer interface internally and externally on matters pertaining to Global customer deliverables
  • Where required, will consult and/or own global initiatives relating the optimization of pre-operative planning operations
  • Designs ‘state of the business’ periodic reports and delivers to leadership and extended personnel

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with focus in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or Supply Chain preferred
  • MBA or in progress of obtaining, is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience required
  • Previous leadership experience is required
  • Process Excellence or Six Sigma/Lean certification/experience preferred
  • Experience in a customer care/support role and production environment is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite required, additionally Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Prefer knowledge of Lean tools (Six Sigma, Visual Management, Value Stream Management)
  • Proven history of process improvement and waste reduction
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven record leading a results-oriented team
