Job Description

  • Will develop and execute a plan for the manufacturing operations aligned with Stryker Global Supply (SGS) strategy and leadership intent
  • Will understand unit business objectives and create plans for achieving targeted conditions
  • Plans, manages, develops and coordinates the activities of a unit to meet production, quality and cost objectives
  • Will foster a team-based and product-focused orientation toward operational metrics.  Focus on capacity planning, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, safety awareness, and cost reduction implementation so timely, accurate deliveries are attained.
  • Fosters proactive collaboration across functions and locations
  • Will identify and mitigate major production risks
  • Drives a continuous improvement culture to improve customer satisfaction and eliminate waste.
  • Responsible for Unit P&L results , Projection and  Budget preparation
  • Will make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect and/or overtime labor.
  • Develops strategic plans for production based on input from division customers, factoring in department products, equipment, material and manpower variables.
  • Communicate regularly to all employees in the unit, the Strategy, objectives and progress of the Unit
  • Will develop and evolve an organizational structure in support of the unit strategy
  • Will collaborate cross-functionally, with the Instruments Division and within peer groups to ensure decisions best reflect customer priorities and interests
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting the performance status of the business unit.
  • Responsible for the selection, supervision, development and objective-setting for Unit Manager(s) and any other subordinates.
  • Evaluates subordinate's performance based on unit goals and priorities.
  • Manages directly and/or through subordinate managers the activities of the unit.
  • Coaches and develops managers, leaders and support staff in the unit
  • Responsible for unit personnel compliance with company policies and corrective action.
  • Develops and maintains a culture of performance, accountability and positive engagement
