Job Description

The following is not intended to represent an all inclusive list of job responsibilities, but to outline the ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the position.

Basic Function:

  • Responsible for developing strategic business partnerships within the Campus in an effort to provide sound direction and guidance at all levels within the organization.  Responsible for managing the HR Operations for the Campus’ with a focus on managing our day to day operations with special emphasis on designing, conducting diagnostics, implementing and providing guidance in the following areas: employee relations, policies & procedures; employee engagement; HR compliance and governance, among others.


  • Provide guidance, coaching and administer performance management issues, which include the performance review process, disciplinary, and corrective action process.
  • Administer annual associate satisfaction/engagement survey and responsible for driving accountability for execution of action plans.
  • Develop strategy and planning to ensure performance of staffing reviews and succession planning on at least a semi-annual basis.
  • Administer affirmative action plans and establishes goals, and evaluates performance relative to the goals.
  • Administer wage and salary policies.  This may include compliance with governmental wage and hour regulations, participation in job evaluation and work measurement projects.
  • Conduct training programs and orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Direct the development and administration of programs for employee communications and for promotion of community relations.
  • Represent the plant in local IMSS and unemployment matters.
  • Responsible for appropriate implementation of Quality Program as required by GMP’S, DOH, and other employee communication.
  • Establish and maintain a performance evaluation system that includes EHS performance of all associates.
  • Develop and implement an effective EHSMS within his/her area to support the EHS policy

and the attainment of environmental objectives and targets.

  • Continuously fully comply with all ISO standard requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage directly and/or indirectly the activities of Human Resources Business Partners; Receptionist and HR Coordinator.
  • Set overall group goals and priorities and evaluates subordinate’s performance based on those goals and priorities.
  • Is responsible for subordinates complying with company policies and corrective actions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: Includes walking around the plant.

Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to prepare, understand and explain detailed company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to analyze and resolve issues of moderate scope using independent judgment.
  • Must be able to communicate with large groups of people
  • Must be able to prioritize work and keep detailed, accurate and confidential Records

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to generate detailed proposals, guidelines, priorities and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications skills

  • Computer skills (PC) and related software
  • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Required Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline; preferably in business with an emphasis on Human Resources Management
  • Master’s Degree highly preferred

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources or other Business Management role
  • 5+ year’s managerial experience
