The Senior Global MarComm Manager will be responsible for a consolidated and integrated leadership approach to all internal and external communication and public relation activities across Stryker's Endoscopy Business units. This role will spearhead and drive the Endoscopy division’s editorial and communication activities through identified channels. This position will ensure content on all communication channels is dynamic and consistently evolving. The Sr. Global MarComm Manager will translate business objectives and strategy into compelling content for specific audiences by collaborating with business teams and functional groups to plan, create, and enhance their communication strategies.


  • Leads the strategic direction of Endoscopy’s communication activities, both internally and externally, ensuring alignment on key messages across the Endoscopy businesses, cross-divisionally, and with the corporate communications team.
  • Leads the strategic direction for divisional story-telling through multiple channels, including, Stryker’s largest communication vehicle, as well as all divisional internal communications.
  • Manage and maintain a campaign calendar for internal and external communication activities across all the business units to keep track of project status, establish priorities, and tracking deliverables.
  • Cultivates and implements national media opportunities to elevate and promote Endoscopy’s brand and strategic imperatives, as well as opportunities for Endoscopy’s executive leadership team to further Stryker’s reputation and product promotion through the media.
  • Leads the creation of key executive leadership communications for internal and external purposes, including setting the strategic direction of the communication, through creation, implementation, and tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Partner with Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications to shape the brand hierarchy for the Endoscopy division, working with the product teams to understand the strategic roadmap for our products, and how to communicate that roadmap to our customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develops and executes a divisional public relations strategy, proactively engaging key media outlets, and assisting team in managing designated PR firms.
  • Manages key agency partners for the division, monitoring spend, agency performance, areas of opportunity, and service levels for the division.
  • Partners closely with corporate procurement on identifying areas to maximize and leverage marketing & communications spend.
  • Generate ideas and provide support to promote and grow the Stryker global brand; work closely with BU’s and Product Managers to define, produce and execute marketing campaigns aligned to corporate strategy. 
  • Serves as the brand leader for the Endoscopy division, working with designated brand implementers to ensure all internal and external comms are developed in line with brand guidelines and that a consistent customer experience is delivered across the Global Endoscopy business, supporting divisional and cross-divisional campaigns.
  • Monitor key competitor communications, use insight to make recommendations as to how to enhance Stryker’s communication performance and create differentiation for our customers. 
  • Lead cross-divisional efforts and teams for all major trade shows to align on messaging, engagement opportunities, research, maximizing Stryker’s presence, brand, and ROI.
  • Seek out opportunities to enhance and expand our customer reach via communications through best practice sharing across divisions, and extending into the industry to build a strategy for maintaining our competitive advantage.
  • Develop marketing communication competencies among marketing teams, educating the product teams and dedicated BU MarComm representatives on the value and expected outcomes of marketing communications, aligned to the strategic direction of the corporation.
  • Empower business unit ownership of content through streamlined processes, best practice sharing, and consistent evaluation of success metrics. 
  • Leads cross-divisional collaborative campaigns for the division and sits on cross-divisional marketing and communication committees. 


  • 10+ years of public relations, communications or agency experience
  • Preferred knowledge of the big picture marketing framework, or similar marketing competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferable in Public Relations, Integrated Communications, or Marketing field, Higher Education Degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effective managerial skills
  • Attention to detail and demonstrate ability for follow-up
  • Proven track record of high performance
  • Experience in creating integrated marketing communication plans, and a track record of hitting key performance indicators
  • Successful experience and track record in selection and development of talent
  • Experience in recruitment, selection and development of talent to achieve strategic objectives
