Senior Franchise Manager (Marketing) – Trauma & Extremities - EEMEA

We are looking to hire a Senior Franchise Manager, who sets the strategic direction for Trauma & Extremities in EEMEA, provides guidance to all relevant T&E marketing plans in the region and ensures alignment with the goal to drive above-market growth in all segments we compete in. This is a Senior level role covering the EEMEA region, in particular Russia, Turkey, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East as well as North and South Africa. This individual will work within a matrix organisation with the local Marketing resources across the region to drive awareness of our broad T&E portfolio and compete for category leadership. For this role, you will need to be able to accommodate up to 50% travel. 

Key activities and focus will be:

 Portfolio Strategy: 

  • Define the ­­Trauma & Extremities portfolio strategy for premium and mid-tier segments in EEMEA by closely working with the General Managers, Marketing and Commercial leadership teams across the region
  • Manage the successful integration of Wright Medical for EEMEA by collaborating closely with the IMO and all other relevant functions and stakeholders
  • Working in tandem with the T&E division, actively managing the PLCM strategy and related processes for EEMEA in close partnership with RA/QA
  • Ensure all AMP’s and CP’s in the region are aligned with the franchise strategy by providing close guidance to the local Marketing teams both in planning and execution
  • Work with the Regional Product Managers to implement the roll out of region-specific franchise plans for key markets within EEMEA
  • Actively manage & assist pricing & margin management across all regions

Product Management: 

  • Provide technical expertise with respect to specified product area. This includes product knowledge, sales volume and trends, cost and margin information
  • Establish regular communication with the local Marketing & sales support teams in the focus countries
  • Facilitate the annual product planning (APP) process for the T&E by setting the appropriate criteria for future product registrations
  • Orchestrate coordinated product launches in country
  • Establish relationships with the Global and European Marketing teams and produce reports on request and forward any territory information regarding Stryker products in the division
  • Develop relevant skills and knowledge by attending courses and ensure that the needed knowledge is retained within the company
  • Update on legal changes and or requirement on an ongoing basis

Marketing Budget Responsibility:

  • Responsible for allocation of financial resource across EEMEA
  • Manage T&E investments in focus countries
  • Allocate & manage the inventory and demonstration equipment

Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Management: 

  • Take the lead in developing EEMEA KOL’s for the franchise
  • Understand & obtain feedback on key customer and competitive trends

Professional Education

  • Determine and coordinate all T&E Training & Education activities for HCP’s in EEMEA
  • Work with EEMEA Education Co-Ordinator’s to manage the external educational offering across franchise and to ensure this offering is in line with marketing plan and marketing budget.
  • Prepare EEMEA KOL contracts in conjunction with compliance officers for EEMEA events
  • Plan conduct and manage EEMEA professional education courses

Qualifications and prior experience:

  • This is a senior role and we are looking at candidates with significant relevant experience (10+ years) in similar roles within the industry.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, (training design/delivery) or related discipline advantageous
  • Significant experience in sales training, surgical training or project management with clear progression in terms of responsibilities and scope of roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in KOL management.
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking abilities
  • Ability to interact, influence and partner with sales and marketing groups across countries and cultures.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to move others to take action
  • High level of trust and integrity
  • Hands-on ability to implement swiftly and effectively by taking ownership and accepting responsibility.
