Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer for our Patient Specific Solutions team within our Joint Replacement Division in Mahwah, NJ.

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Modeling and detailing patient specific implant and instrument designs utilizing Pro/Engineer design software as well as non-parametric software(s)
  • Developing prototypes for design verification 
  • Interfacing with clinicians to gather inputs for design and evaluate designs
  • Actively participating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and create/develop design controls and risk management files
  • Utilizing knowledge of the surgical procedure in order to develop innovative solutions to solve / satisfy customer needs.

Ideal candidates should also possess the following skills/experience:

  • 3+ years of product design experience in the medical device industry or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree; Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
  • Demonstrated familiarity of design controls and risk management within a regulated industry
  • Demonstrated experience with a parametric CAD design package.  Prefer Pro/Engineer
